In my early years, I grew up with a giant tree, often called “the money tree.” I have fond memories of picking up the round leaves and thinking it was real money. It makes me laugh when I think of the innocence we have as children, our imaginations, and how important it is just to play.
Today, I always keep what is commonly called a Chinese Money Plant as represented in this painting, and which originates from the CanShang Mountains in China. “Blessing at New Moon,” is bright and vibrant and offers the viewer the simple joy of embracing their own innocence.
