Odd Pot

This painting grew out of the process of moving house and relinquishing many things I'd had around me for a long time. It started with going through boxes of old papers, and some of the boxes themselves were 20 + years old. It's interesting to look at what we keep, why we keep it, and what has meaning.

For me, "The Odd Pot" is a tribute to the concepts of change, reflection, learning, and renewal. It's also a symbol of embracing the colourful journey we all have as unique individuals, from childhood through adolescence and adulthood. The point is, it’s important to embrace things that might be considered "Odd" because that is often what makes life so interesting! ⁠
