Take Aim, Archerfish!

Sometimes, people refer to Archerfish as ‘rifle fish’ and I am intrigued by their unique markings. Through my painting process, I learned that Archerfish are omnivorous and feed on plant matter and insects on the water’s surface during the day. And, they are legendary for being able to “shoot down” insects from foliage overhanging the water’s surface by spitting jets of water from their mouths with an extremely high degree of accuracy.

“Take Aim, Archerfish,” is a painting for the area in your home, where you want to be able to talk, laugh, love and maybe even shed the odd tear. It also suits the fun-loving ‘pop, brother, uncle, son or perhaps the ‘angler,’ who always makes you laugh and helps you feel like there’s always a sunny and positive side to life.
